SMALL-TOWN ROOTS. REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE.

Jim Croft was born in Madison and grew up in Columbus, Wisconsin, with family roots in Crivitz and Tomah. Weekends on the family dairy farm helped shape his belief in hard work, persistence, and community.

Jim graduated from UW–Whitewater with a degree in Spanish and a business minor. While studying in Monterrey, Mexico, he met Marina, who would become his wife. Marina later became a naturalized U.S. citizen and graduated from Marquette Law School.

WORK ETHIC THAT NEVER CLOCKED OUT.

Like many Wisconsin families, Jim and Marina worked hard, saved carefully, and built their future one step at a time.

Early in their marriage, Jim worked additional jobs and served as an apartment caretaker, managing dozens of units so the family could save money to buy a home. That experience gave him a firsthand understanding of budgets, rising costs, and what it takes for families to move forward.

Professionally, Jim built a career in operations, transportation technology, banking, data analytics, database management, and energy logistics. He currently works for a Milwaukee-based mobile fuel delivery and on-site refueling company, helping support systems that keep homes, businesses, and communities running.

Jim believes government should work more like the best parts of the private sector: solve problems, respect budgets, serve people, and measure results.

FAMILY, SERVICE AND COMMUNITY

Jim and Marina have deep ties to southeastern Wisconsin and the Hispanic community through Marina’s legal work and the Dance Academy of Mexico in Milwaukee.

Their family’s story reflects the same values Jim will bring to the State Senate: hard work, responsibility, opportunity, family, and service.
